About NACM

NACM is a not-for-profit membership organization, founded in 1990, for case managers, service coordinators, supervisors, and administrators. NACM provides opportunities for professional growth in the areas of service coordination, case management, consumer involvement and advocacy, and supervision. NACM’s goals are accomplished through provision of educational opportunities, including nationwide conferences and supervisor seminars.

NACM's most important role is as an advocate for continued community support services and use of consumer-centered case management as a primary tool in serving people with behavioral disabilities. This is particularly important in a time of uncertainty with the emphasis on health care reform and changes in reimbursement in the continuously changing environment in which case managers provide services.

NACM's Mission

The National Association of Case Management is an organization of case managers, service and resource coordinators, consumers, family members, other practitioners, and interested organizations and individuals dedicated to promoting, supporting, strengthening, and defining case management as the critical process for assuring that people's vital needs for human services and supports are met.
